Karl Terry is a plein air painter born in 1967 in Ashford, Kent. Apart from O level Art he has no formal training but is lucky to paint with his friend and former Art teacher, Chris Daynes. Karl paints almost predominanty `en plein air', in oil on board at every opportunity and with what `Pat Field' of Turtle Fine art describes as `with a rage!' He has exhibited at the Rye Society of Artists and his work is available at `The Turtle Fine Art Gallery'in Rye. In September 2008 the Turtle will be having a shared show with Karl and Chris Daynes, entitled`Two artists in Search of a landscape', which will coincide with The Rye Arts Festival.
Karl is married to his wife Joanna and they live with their two children, Bethany & Tobias in Wittersham, near Rye.

In May 08 Karl and Chris Daynes attended the 2008 PAPA plein air painting Workshop in Easton MD, painting with some of Americas best living artists including, Skip Whitcomb, John Budicin, George Strickland and Don Demers.

30/5/08 Karls paintings entitled Winter Morning Port Isaac and Rye From Rock Channel accepted and hung in The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Show.
